Got My Wheelhouse Liners Installed

I got my wheelhouse liners installed yesterday. I really like the way it turned out. I took several pictures and am including a link for you to see how they went in. I didn't know how to get the pictures in order so you will have to overlook that. I took my wheels off, because I had broken my back several years ago and thought it would be easier to access the area and allow me not to overwork myself. Small jobs like this really wear me out. I also noticed that since I have the mud flaps that I had to remove the top two screws in order to get the liner behind it. I also had to put one screw in on the right side because the liner was not fitting tight there and I could make it rattle so I put the screw in to keep it from rattling. The left side didn't need any screws, only the top three push in pins. I did clean the fenderwells before installing so you can see some that are dirty and some that are clean. Considering that the local Chevy dealer wanted $160.00 for the liners, verses GM Parts Direct, price of $79.99. I don't know how to add a link so here is the address. http://s281.photobucket.com/albums/kk213/f...house%20Liners/

Looks good. Do tou have to secure them in with screws or are they tight enough you can just put them in and they will stay in place?

They are a really tight fit. Once you get them in you will realize that you need no screws. I think they have those just so there will be no rattling and keep them from warping. I did install the three plastic push/pull pins in the finder lip and then one screw to keep it from rattling, but they will not come out being pushed behind the fender lip even if you didn't use the push pull pins.

Why they don't come stock is beyond me. Much better  I have them and love how they clean up the rear openings.

I installed mine, Did used the placed push clips on the lip and one screw on each side. there in ther reallly tight. I had to trim the edge of the left one cause it over hang and wouldnt tuck under the lip. maybe it all in my head IDK, but i sweat the road noise in the cab went down. Glad I got them, well worth the money, to help keep debree and other junk out of the fender.

They were included in the LTZ plus package when I ordered my truck. Saved me from having to install. They are nice and should be included, but I am sure there are people that don't like them.

Looks good!

Did the same on mine was 2 days old and I installed them. I coated the inner wheel wells with heavy grease to help protect against rust with moisture building up behind the plastic. Its a bummer when you have to drive through slush and snow in the winter.

Took it one step farther and made up my own frt wheel well liner extensions too, help keeps the grit, slush and water out of the engine bay
