Ac Clutch Bearing Replacement Procedure

Have you gone to a bearing shop? I know they can get them. I replaced one about a year ago. Had no problem getting one locally.

You can try here:

I ordered this bearing and it came in the mail today. Thanks for the link up. I searched for the bearing by part number on the bearing and could not come up with any thing. Oh well. This fixed the noise coming from my AC Compressor. I have taken pictures and will post them up when I get them uploaded so I can show what I did to correct the noise my truck was making.

Here is a pic of the old bearing and the new bearing I just got in from Ebay.

This is the part number if you want to search it.

This is the inside of the bearing clutch. The bearing is staked in and you will have to either grind the stakes out or have the bearing pressed out by someone with a press.

This is the clutch coil on the truck. If you need to remove it, you will need to remove that keeper.

Here is the clutch installed with the new bearing.

Here you can see the keeper installed that holds the clutch and bearing in place on the compressor. I used two small screwdrivers to work the keeper off and then back on. Pretty easy actually. I tried with my snap ring pliers to remove it but my pliers are too small.

In case anyone out there reads this and needs a bearing for a 2007 Classic or earlier truck, I have a bearing that I did not use and will let go for $20. Shoot me a PM if you are interested.

So the number on the blue bearing should be the correct bearing to go on my 2009 sierra? Do you know the dimensions of the bearing, id like to check NAPA for one.
