Random Bounce In Rpms

well i've had this issue on and off for quite awhile, it happens very rarely and there are no certain conditions that seem trip it...but anyway the issue comes up when i stop sometimes(in gear), the rpms bounce below idle for a few seconds then it comes back up to normal, this hasen't happened in quite a long time and the only thing i can think of was maybe shitty gas, the truck idles fine out of gear, and idles fine most of the time in gear...truck runs perfect otherwise its just these random rpm bounces which i had one earlier this evening but which is the first time in months, it almost reminds me of the truck the truck downshifting but backwards on the rpm guage lol

fuel pressure,fuel filter,beat plugs,beat wires,bad FPR...list goes on.

I would start with cleaning the throttle body.

new wires, new plugs, no servicable fuel filter...i'll take a peak at the TB when i get a chance, like i said its really random, it will happen for a split second and disappear for months at a time

A random drop in RPM's every couple of months for a split second? Dude, if it ain't broke don't fix it. Again, quit laying awake at night worrying about nothing.

 

As long as you are hitting on all 8 cylinders, no CEL's, no drop in fuel economy, no hard starting, drive it and don't worry about it.
