Ok Installed IE 9 on my laptop yesterday. :)

At least on my systems all it does is crash every other page load. :P

Using Vista with all other updates installed.

Just deleted IE 9 and now back to 8 and can load any page w/o failure.

At least the return to IE 8 was easy and painless, so far.

How bout you folks have the same problems in vista and IE 9 ?

I've not had an issue with IE9 but both machines I have it on are WinXP-64bit and Win7-64bit OS.

IE is out of date.

Go with something like Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome. They are far superior internet browsers and the will make you like much easier.

Yeah, combination of bad OS and bad browser. I agree on the Firefox or Chrome recommendations, but I think dumping Vista would help even more - upgrade to Win7 if you can, or go back to XP.

I have tried it on Vista and Win7. Both had issues. Uninstalled less than an hour after installing it. I will wait till sp1 comes out for ie9 before trying it again.

windows is garbage, no matter the variant. OSX or linux if you're opposed to a mac

Agreed (I switched to a MacBook Pro at work 3 years ago and haven't looked back), but Windows isn't going to go away. Windows is going to stay in most people's houses and is generally more user-friendly than Linux. My kid's computer is an XP box I built and I certainly wouldn't want to have to be their tech support if I switched it to Linux or the expense of swapping it out with an iMac or a Mac Pro.

understandable. My roommate is looking for a used macbook on ebay at the moment, he said he'd rather spend $800 on a used 2-3 year old macbook than a brand new anything else after spending the last 6 months using my macbook pro when i'm not using it. His dell took a dump for the 3rd and final time back around Thanksgiving.

another vote for windows 7 and google chrome.

Big fan of Mozilla Firefox...I used to use Netscape back in the days of dial-up.

Never liked IE.
