2010 Gmc Sierra Audio Upgrade

My Sierra came with the basic radio. I purchased the upgrade GM radio,CD, etc. I called the dealer where I bought the truck and they "will make me a special deal" to program the radio for $85!!!! Other dealer prices around Houston are in the range of $100+. Can anyone in the Houston area do this for less or know of someone that can do it for less? $85 is a lot for 15-20 minutes of work....but if I gotta, then I gotta...

Sounds kinda high from what others have said in the past, but it depends on what your dealer charges for their time. Anymore you can't get them to hook up their computer to your truck for less than 50 bucks even if its just to clear a fault code.

Man, The "stealerships" are bad. The lowest was the place I bought the truck at and have been going to for all service, oil changes, etc. and that was $85! Others in the Houston area were $100+!!!! Most told me it was maybe 30 minutes of work....

I was hoping someone in the area might work at a dealership and willing to do it on the side...I guess I have to take my lumps and pay the $85.

$85 to program doesn't seem to bad for a dealer. Problem with looking for someone to do it on the side is if they don't own the equipment and use the dealer equipment they could probably lose their job. Not worth it for them.
