Biggest Tires On A Wt?

Just curious, what are the biggest tires that can fit on a stock 2011 Sierra Reg. cab WT 4x2. I believe that the steel rims are 17x7.5 and tires are 245/70R17.

Without leveling kit, or trimming.... 265/70/17's. I am running this size myself after not liking the dinky 245/70/17's that came factory.

OR 265/65R-18s. (Same overall circumference as 265/70R-17s.)

275/70/17 People on here have ran this size with no rubbing without a level kit. However there is not alot of choices in this size and all are LT C or E rated. I am going to replace my 245's with this size this winter as I don't want to level the truck and just want a little taller tire.

I ordered some 265/70R17 Duratracks and 17x8 Ultra Rogue Rims. The oem rims are 17x7.5 with a +31 offset and the new rims ordered are 17x8 with a +10 offset. The oem tires are P245/70R17 and the new ones are LT265/70R17. Will these rub? Anyone running this or similar? They said that the same Ultra rim with a +25 offset would fit but I'm also increasing the tire size, hense the need for a more negative offset. Any advise would be appreciated as I've been told once mounted, they are mine..

That size is an option for a 2WD still so I don't think it should cause a problem.

So I had the 265/70R17 LT tires installed on the 17X8 Ultra rims with a +10 offset. I'm glad that I chose to go with my gut and get the more negative offset as the tires don't rub but are close on the front when turning. The question is now; do I have to have an alignment done as the tires are larger and more aggressive? Also, what psi do I run a load E tire installed on a 1500 reg. cab with a short box. The max. is 80 and I'm currently running 50 front and 40 rear? My understanding is that these are for HD trucks and for trailoring or heavy loads with the increased tire pressure..
