I took delivery of my new '11 2500 HD Diesel last week. I must admit it I absolutely love it. I'm still at that stage where I'm driving with the radio off - listening to the purrr of the diesel!

My first test will be towing my 34' trailer next weekend - so I'm doing lots of local driving to put some miles on the engine to break it in. So far not a rattle or squeak.... just miles of smiles.

Oh - and my reference to moving forums.. I used to post in the full-sized truck forum (traded in my '07 Suburban).

They come from the factory already broken in. Have fun!!!

Don't tell my wife that! I won't have an excuse to drive around!

Good Luck on your new truck. I'd check the owner's manual before you tow. Mine isn't diesel but I had to put on a certain amount of miles before I hooked up a trailer. Course my truck is not a 11 model year. plowking

Added a tonneau cover and a bull bar today. Not sure the bull bar suits the truck, but I'll give it some time before deciding.

Has anybody come across nice storage solutions for the under seat area of the rear seats? I know that I can lock some items under the tonneau cover in the bed area - but for some items the cab is more secure (not to mention more accessible).

If the weather holds out, I'll get pictures and post tomorrow.

I wouldn't have added the Bull Bar except my '07 Suburban had been tagged tagged three times by people "feeling" their way into parking spots. I refuse to get my bumper repainted again and again.

sounds like a good idea. Though you should have put some spikes on the front of the bar :) that would teach those people who don't know how to park.

Haha! That's why I keep a bumper hitch on mine at all times. you wouldn't believe the number of times I've come to see some idiot's honda bumper right on top of the hitch. You didn't notice when you drove into it and you didn't notice when you got out and walked by?? Geez. . . . . .

I used to leave my hitch and ball on the back - for the same reason. However, with this truck it interferes with the parking sensor. Don't know why - it didn't on my Suburban.

I've been in two "bumper" accidents where the hitch saved me - and punched holes in the guy's rad when he hit me from behind icon6.gif.
