Abs Problem !

Sometime, let say once a week when i want to stop at a red light for example and at very low speed on a dry pavement i feel the ABS reacting on the brake pedal. Galiper have been change last september with break pad etc... Problem is that my front right wheel smoke at a stop light meanning that my right front brake is grip. Maybe it can be a relation between that ABS reaction. Anybody have an idea what it should be ?

If your RF wheel is smoking when you stop that generally means the caliper is not releasing when you are driving. As with anything electronically controled, start with the basic things first

 

Is there a ABS warning light on at any time?

Is the caliper seized?

After you stop, try to open the bleeder screw on the RF caliper and see if fluid squirts out like someone is holding the pedal down.

 

The answers to those questions will lead you down the correct path to fix this I think.

1-No light on at any time

One other think, i don't know if it might help, it does it even if the ignition is off key in my pocket and truck on the lift, i press the brake pedal and go back to the right front wheel and its stuck, take the wheel out release the brake pad with a prybar (no sized feel or stuck or grip) put the wheel on now its rolling free then pump the brake pedal and the brake get stuck again. Could it have a relation with my ABS issue.

Check your wheel bearing. When was the last time that they were replaced? I had a similar problem with mine, and the "bad" bearing locked up going down the highway. Turns out the bearing was bad, which made the ABS trip like it was skidding (because the sensor is part of the bearing).
