Having a little issue with something, not sure what it could be. The other week i change my oil and i noticed while i drive my oil pressure fluctuates like 5 or so psi. I replaced my oil pressure sensor a not to long before that becacuse, when i got the truck it was pegged at 80 psi. Right before i changed my oil i had the dipstick tube replaced because it was rusting away. Im not sure if something got in there when they were changing it or what, i never noticed it before i changed my oil. the truck has like 170000 miles on it so im hopeing its not my oil pump.

Let me know what ya think.

It does increase with acceleration, i know thats normal. if im driving its at like 45-50 but it fluctuates between 45-50 when the pedal remains the same. I did replace the oil pressure sensor so i was thinking maybe it was that, and at idle its at like 35 and it stays there. its the 6.0

I know that minor fluctuation in oil pressure is normal for gasoline engines. I have two GM trucks with gasoline engines that both have oil pressure gages that show 0, 40, and 80 psi and anything in between. At idle they show around 30-35 psi and while driving they stay around 40-45 psi. I am not sure about what diesel engine oil psi should be but I know the gage should read exactly what psi is being given.
