hi guys i want to add a rc front level and a 3inch reear block so i still have a bit of rake. i have my 700 pound welder and toolbox in my truck all the time so would it be a benfit to get the zone add a leaf? would it ride stiffer but not sag down when i have the welder on the truck? by just adding the leaf would i need to add trhe 3 inch rear block?

Sorry for all the questions but i want it to look right when im done and hopefully someone can awnser all the questions ha.

With a 3" leveling kit, and 3" rear blocks, you will sit level and sag in the rear unless you plan on stacking blocks which is dangerous.

Also, if you are calling the RC 3" a leveling kit, then you are way off track. 3" is entirely to much stress on these front ends, not to mention the fact that you should stay the hell away from any RC 3" or 3.5" lift. Any lift in the front over 2.5" without correcting upper control arm angles/ dropping the diff/ etc... Is just begging for trouble down the road. Especially the RC one. Your best solution is to do it right with a suspension lift. Or if you want about that much lift, do a 2" leveling kit and a small body lift. Then either add 3" blocks in the rear or add a leaf spring in the rear. Without my zone body lift, I have a 2.5" leveling kit and 3" rear blocks (not stacked on factory ones) and I have an inch to an inch and a quarter of rake. Trust me on that RC. Been there and done that, plus you will see nothing but problems from your front end witht that much lift in the front and not adjusting for other stuff.

To the OP, I guess it depends on how you want it to look. If you still want the factory rake with 700 lbs in the bed, then yes, you will need the 3" block and add-a-leaf. With a 2" level kit in the front, 3" rear blocks, no add-a-leaf, and 700 lbs...it will probably sit about level. My truck still has the factory amout of rake, it just sits 2" taller...and it's still about .5" higher in the rear when hauling my 600 lb 4-wheeler. Hope that helps a little.

Why doesn't anyone make a 2 to 2 1/2 suspension Lift for the GMT900? That all the higher up I want to take mine, but no one makes a kit.

Here is mine with a 2" RC level and 3" zone offroad rear blocks

I had a thread that listed my before and after heights

thinking about going to a local spring shop and adding a leaf, i want to get some height back in the rear. After installing a BDS leveling kit in the front the rear also sags when loaded. I haul alot of dirt/mulch in the summer might as well benifit from both the height and the payload..

Still will only have a 1/2 truck, so will keep loads near the specs. talked with the local shop they suggested to stay away from blocks, go figure they want to sell springs RIGHT..

anyhow for the price $300 going to do it.

Zone makes a 2" lift for these trucks, comes with 2" leveling kit, and 2" rear blocks

added a BDS 2" leveling kit for larger tires however when I loaded junk in the bed the rear sagged. Thought about blocks even ordered them. I deceided to send them back and add a leaf.

$318 at a local spring shop, raised the rear from 39" to 41"

The ride did not suffer at all - I hit every bump I could find on the way home.

All those post of "your ride is going to suffer" "it will change the factory ride"

bla bla bla

glad I didn't listen to those comments. I am glad I made up my own mind. Couldn't be happier with the results.

No wories of block failuer, axel wrapping...

I also did the AAL at local spring shop 370 with new u bolts and pads. i have a 800lbs salter and iam still an 1 1/2 over stock ride height.

once i take the salter off might raise the fron 2" and see how she looks. with the AAL it seems to ride and drive alot better with the added weight in the box.
