Hid On Gmt-900

On my '02 silverado I had a set of 35W 6000k HID's and loved them. I want them on my 08 sierra but have a few questions. I've looked through MANY of the threads but still curious about some things. First of all the ballasts that I have are still good so I'm wondering if I order a set of bulbs through ddm, if they will work with my bambo ballasts? Also I know there is the issue with the fact the low beams are the same as DRL's so what is the best solution for this? (Run them all the time? pull the DRL fuse? or what?) I see that a lot of people are having issues with them coming on and warming up? what seems to be the verdict on why this is happening?

as long as the wattage and voltage match the ballast you should be ok. As for the drl maybe pull the relay if it wont affect anything else or just turn on the parking lights instead. Thats what I do with my 06 GTO

there are two fuses in the underhood fusebox to pull to disable the drl's. (i'm lazy too, but there is a thread either on here or at gmfs that has the exact fuses to do so)

no problem with using another manufacturer's bulbs with your ballasts as long as they have the same connectors which most do have.

Thats what I thought but just wanted to make sure.

yeah but then your accesory lights are dim and your tail lights are on all day, which in my opinion looks odd on a bright sunny day.

Agreed, nothing looks more stupid than p-lamps and fogs on during the day...
