Daystar 2" Kit

I am looking into this kit as I had DS kits before and they have been good to me. ( no issues )

It provides a 2" front lift which mounts on top of the strut tower and a 2" rear block which when I take off my stock block will give me 1" of lift so I'll have a little rake for loads , trailering and weight in winter. I actually wish I could go a little higher like to a 3"/2" but I'll see how this works for me first. I do take the vehicle off road , but nothing extreme like rock crawling , but fire roads , ruts , hills , ect....

No one here ever seem to mention it although popular here where I live and thats what the 4x4 shops usually install. I am not worried about the installation being more difficult since my friend owns a shop that I can do the work at and he will then align it for me . So install cost will be a couple cases of beer....lol. He owns a frame , axle & suspension shop and thats all they do .

I am new to this and have been reading suspension thread after suspension thread trying to educate myself to do this the right way .

So basically is there something about the kit I don't understand on the 2011 GMC that I have ? You advice is appreciated and thank you in advance.

The daystar 2" leveling kit is a good one. I had it on mine for a while. No issues. The only reason I got rid of it was because I bought that piece of shit rough country 3" lift. After that didn't work, they bought it back. When the shop was uninstalling it, I wanted to go up a little and always heard that 2.5" was the max, so I bought a CCM 2.5" leveling kit to have them swap in when they were taking off the RC 3" spacer. So....long story short, the daystar kit is fine. You say you want a 3"/2" kit, a CCM (or any other 2.5" leveling kit would get you closer). I wouldn't go over that, just from what people have said on these forums. I'm happier that I went with the CCM, that .5" made a difference to me, especially after I added the 1.5" body lift on top of it. Either way, all leveling kits do the same thing and will put about the same amount of wear on front end parts. Go with whats cheaper, and most popular, which is the rough country 2" leveling kit. Most people run that due to price and ease of installment. It will do the same thing as the daystar. The only reason I had the daystar, was because I was new to all of this when I first bought my truck, and that is the main brand that the shop installed at the time. The daystar is a good kit, don't get me wrong, but if you are really wanting a 3"/2" lift, I wod look into the CCM kit just to get you a little closer. Or you could always run the daystar or RC 2" leveling kit along with a RC 1.25" or a zone 1.5" body lift to get you a little over the 3" lift you are looking for.
