Strange Odor.

I've noticed that when it's cooler out and humid, my truck has a strange odor in it. During the heat of the day, it smells like a normal truck, but when humid, or rainy I get a strange pungent odor in it. It's not a leak at the 3rd brake light, I've checked it. Anyone know what it could be? I keep the inside of my truck dealership clean, so I know there's no food or spills in it that could be doing it. Anyone else have this problem? If so, any products that get rid of it without making your truck smell perfumy or chemical? I like having that new truck smell!

Your truck should have a cabin air filter that needs to be replaced. It's by the passanger below the glove box. If you do a search here there is probably a thread on where and hoe to remove it. I had to change it out on my 2002 HD2500 and the smell went away along with a the leaves and other stuff in there.

I've checked my carpets. They don't smell. My truck has no undercarriage rust, so there's no leaks. I'll probably give my upholstry a good cleaning next to see if maybe it's just an everyday funk that's angered by humidity or something. For right now though, I'm not finding any damp carpeting OR leaks. The search continues.
