So I was playing around on ebay the other night and just for fun, I submitted a low-ball offer on a 3" Perf. Acc. BL, and Ill be damned if I didnt win it. So, that was a good thing I guess. I was gonna get one anyway, but I didnt expect to get it so soon. I was going to wait until I needed a new set of tires because I cant justify taking good tires off to replace with old worn out tires from Craigslist and the wife told me I couldnt buy new tires until these are done (gotta keep momma happy or nobody's happy).

So, The problem I have is that I am so darned impatient that I will probably have to put the lift on as soon as it arrives, or I may explode. But, with the 265 tires I have on it now, Im worried it will look rediculous. Is there anyone here that thinks it wont look bad? Does anyone have pictures of a 99-06 with a BL and 32" tires?

your tires will look kind of small, but I don't think it will look bad at all. All you need to do is buy Momma something nice, then go and get your new tires. Good luck!

Well, I dont mind the look of a 2500HD with 245s, but Ive already got a 2" lift (new keys and AAL). You dont think it will be too tall?

I'll be honest, it may look a bit goofy but not terrible. I truly think body lifts with close to stock tires look like HD's from the factory so, if you can deal with that look then go for it. Plus, if the wifey dislikes the look once the lift is on use that as ammo to get new rubber.

i dont think it looks too bad at all. obviously it will look better with bigger tires, but its all good.

did you install yourself? if so, how was it?

Yeah I did it myself. It wasnt bad. I cant say I did it completely by myself because I had a couple of my students help me on a few parts. Mostly just because I couldnt get a bolt lined up here or there, or I needed a tool and didnt want to get off the creeper. I probably could have done it alone, but it might have taken longer. Got it on in about 7 hours total. Started about 11:30 in one of my shop classes, and finished up about 7 that evening, taking a 30 min. break at lunch. But, I didnt relocate either of the bumpers, and I have electric fans, electric 4wd, and an auto. If you do the bumper relocation, it will take longer. Also, the modifications for the mechanical fan, transfer case linkage, or manual trans. extensions, it will take a few hours longer. Overall, it wasnt very hard, but there is alot of meticulous stuff that you have to kind of figure out by reading between the line on the instructions. Ide rate it as a 3 of 5 on the dificulty scale.

It was tons easier than the 2" I installed on my 01 ZR2 S10 Though.

I don't think it looks bad at all. Body lifts are not the most fun installs and they seem to drag on forever but, they really are not that difficult like you mentioned. Good work sir!
