Speide Posted November 21, 2002 Posted November 21, 2002 I was wondering if GMC was going to do a version of the Avalanche as they have with all the other Chevy Trucks. Anyone here heard anything or have any theories they care to share?
RyanbabZ71 Posted November 21, 2002 Posted November 21, 2002 yea GMC is making a mini avalanche version. I think its an 04 model Hopefully someone will post a pic. I havent seen one on the web only in magazines
99silveradoz71 Posted November 22, 2002 Posted November 22, 2002 One would have thought they learned their lesson the first time...
chevy4x4trucks Posted November 22, 2002 Posted November 22, 2002 One would have thought they learned their lesson the first time... what do you mean??? Despite peoples strong opnions of it they are selling at very decent rates.
RyanbabZ71 Posted November 22, 2002 Posted November 22, 2002 check out http://www.gmc.com Check under vehicles. its the last option coming soon Envoy XUV
RyanbabZ71 Posted November 22, 2002 Posted November 22, 2002 watch all the movies they have there about it. It looks pretty cool Very versitile Power sliding rear roof, next generation midgate, dual function tailgate (lowers or swings), all weather cargo area. You can hose out the rear part. Drains and has many tiedowns

Speide Posted November 23, 2002 Author Posted November 23, 2002 That is not a full size version tho is it? I was wondering about a full size version.

Just mean hopefully they lose the cladding or make it optional on the GMC. chevy does in the 03's, it becomes an option and IMO it looks bad now. I preferred it w/ the cladding on the truck, now it doesn't have the same look. Albeit the cladding was a bit of an eyesore, but if you painted it to match or gave it a two tone look it looked by far better than the cladless ones do.
elboberino Posted November 24, 2002 Posted November 24, 2002 IMHO, I would rather have the cladding. The Avalanche was a completely new and outrageous vehicle and the cladding adds to that new look. Taking the cladding off turns it into another basic truck witht the option of taking off the back part of the cab. Might as well put the name Silverado on it and have the next-gen cab an option, IMHO.
99silveradoz71 Posted November 24, 2002 Posted November 24, 2002 I will say 1 thing, that front end on the Av has grown on me big time since they first arrived. I still do like my 99 1500, and the Hd's...that'd be the pick if I had a little more green in the pocket.
