For a leveling kit, you would not want to go 3". Puts to much strain on your suspension components. Most of us have the Rough Country 2" kit installed. Mine was easy to install and rides close to factory. Truck sits nice and level, I also replaced my factory rear blocks with 3" blocks to put the rake back in the truck.

I put the ready lift leveling kit on mine with 3" blocks in the rear. The ready lift is more expensive than the rough country that most put on and probably a bit harder to put in also, but it does give a bit more lift than the rough country one. I ordered my rear blocks from rough country though. Here is the link to my thread with pics and measurements. Level and Blocks My signature pic is my truck leveled with the 3" blocks. The link has a pic with just the level kit installed and not blocks also.

I bought a 2.5" leveling kit from fatbobsgarage.com (FatBobs brand) and have been extremely happy with it. Awesome build quality and my truck rides the same as stock. The kit was was extremely easy to install thanks to a video or two on youtube. Their shipping was SUPER fast too. I paid for ground shipping and still received it the next day and I live 500+ miles away from their shop. They also sell other brands but I opted to go with theirs based on price and other reviews I read online and in this forum.

I forgot to add the part numbers in my last post. The RC leveling kit was #1307 and the rear blocks were #6564. I also added ReadyLift shock extension brackets Part #67-3809 because my truck sees a lot of off road use.

Why did you decide to put the 3 inch block in the back with the ready lift 2.25? Could it be run without the rear blocks? Would you recommend it?

It could, it would sit very close to level with out the blocks, I basically went for a "poor mans" lift with mine. I put in the new rear blocks to replace the factory blocks, so it would basically give me the factory rake for towing but making the truck over all taller. I never ran it with out the blocks in back, just took a picture so everyone could see how it sat. Many if not most run leveling kits without larger rear blocks. It would probably no problem. If you tow with your truck at all I would recommend larger rear blocks, or you will have nose in the air syndrome with a trailer hooked up.
