Transmission Problems?

Hey everyone! I have a 1999 Chevy s10 v6(automatic) and i'm having a transmission problem that maybe someone can help me with.... When it's cold outside(50-60 degrees) from starting off into second my truck has a problem shifting into gear. It's wanting too and revs high and finally gets into gear. Is this something I should really worry about(new tranny) or is it something that can be fixed with a flush or new tranny fluid? Any help would be great thanks!

sry wormster ,wrong

TJ,transmissions are not suppost to slip, oil does not fix a slip condition,

scan it and see what if any codes are in it

get it diagnosed before any decisions are made

i swear my owner's book says something along the lines of "transmission will seem to slip when cold to improve performance of heater"

sry, clutches dont like to slip and wear out quickly cuzzzz the friction plates are not very thick....

Allison transmissions have some decent programing to warm itself up by starting off in second for example and when its really cold ,no gears at all ,

the engine warms up the heater as you know ...not the tranny,,,,loading the engine up slightly will create heat but gasers heat up good just by drivin them
