Yes it was the truck drivers fault as hard as it might be for you to believe. He plead guilty and had to seve in house arrest for over a year. This was our family's agreement. The company also had to settle as well. They were sitting at a RED light and he ran them over. What more at fault does he need for you?

I believe that the truck driver was at fault. I was saying that sometimes media outlets don't tell the truth so the story can be inaccurate to get more viewers or readers. If thats how it went down, it is obvious who is at fault.

Like I said, I am sorry for your loss.

And is it just me, because I haven't seen it written, but does anyone else wonder why this jackass ran into the back of the STOPPED truck? Especially without touching the brakes. I wonder if he was DUI or just not paying attention. I know this happens all of the time, but usually not this bad.

I don't think anyone else has pointed out the fact that there is clearly some kind of company lettering on what's left of the truck's door, so I highly doubt it was a DUI. He could have been late to a job, answering a work call, looking at directions/GPS...

Poor fella.

The poor guy was form Oklahoma and was president of a horizontal well drilling operation. The accident occurred in Indiana.

With a little research you can find all this info.

I would like to see this section closed due to the sensitivity of the matter. Who knows, his family or friends may read and post here since it was a Silverado.

good call, I just wanted to post a photo of the damage of a chevy truck running into the back of a semi to illustrate the dangers. This has gone way off topic.
