Got My New Pup Saturday!

My wife rescued a chocolate lab at the nature center she works at 3 years ago. Some guy had terminal cancer and could not take care of him and dropped him off. He was about 8 months old at the time. She brought him home and called her parents. Her dad has always had Labs.. they came up the next weekend for Thanksgiving, with no intention of adopting him.. we took them for a walk with the pup.. next thing we know, her dad is buying a crate and driving back to Florida with them! HAd that dog for three years now.. that dog is his best friend. Dumb as a brick, but devoted... great pup you have there.

When we get a house and get settled, we are getting two labs... Mine is gonna be called Landry, my wifes named hers Lambeau... I am a Cowboys fan, she is a Packers fan..lol..

As my log in suggests I am a "Lab-dad" I am on number 4 and 5 right now (a black and a yellow).

My last to go before these was a chocolate.

What a goofy dog, hard headed, no fear but FULL of love. I miss them all dearly!

Very cute Lab! Congratulations.

 

I just got a dog as well! Sam is 6 months old. 5months in the picture below. Got him as a rescue from out of state three months ago. He's a Golden Retriever / Lab mix as far as we can tell. I've enjoyed having him around more than I would have never expected. Dogs are great pets.
