Constant blinker sound...what gives?

OK, so my '99 Tahoe constantly sounds like my blinker is on. There does not appear to be any rhyme or reason to it, just constant. I tried steering wheel position, wipers, cruise, lights, etc to see if anything affected it and nothing. The blinkers work fine, just makes the noise.

Is there something I can pull so it just doesn't make the sound anymore, or is it some sort of relay short??

TIA guys!

step on the brake pedal and have someone check to see if brake lights are working......usually means the multifunction switch is on the way out...sadly very $$$$$

Flasher relay ? If that's it, unit costs about 80$ on rockautoparts and takes not even half an hour to install. (Got to take some of the dash off).

I replaced the one on my 98 Silverado and I don't remember it being very expensive, even the GM part. A pain to change the first time yes. By the time I had it on and off about 4 times because the non-GM one was defective from the get-go I was pretty quick with changing it. Lesson learned - buy the GM part the first time.
