Extended cab w/ CC bed - Rare?

I have noticed about 3 of these over the past 6 months or so. Does anyone else see this combo very often?

My cousin has an 06 Sierra like that. I thought they were just using up leftover parts getting ready for the body style change. Didnt realise that they were still doing it.

I like the look of them, but wouldn't like it when I tried to haul something.

I guess the extended cab with CC bed is the same length as the RC/LB? Similar frame?

wow, i always thought extended cab was a compromise from crew cab and the shortbed is a compromise from the standard bed.

i'm not sure who that would appeal to

2006 was the 1st year for the ext cab short bed. One other thing with this truck in 2006/2007, it came with torsion bar suspension in 2 wheel drive.

My 07 LTZ is a EXT Cab w/short box. I like it as it fits my garage

Never knew that was an option. Looks nice but I'll keep my 6.5' bed.

Wow......really? Never knew any 2WD from GM came with torsion bars.

Anyone have anymore pics of these trucks?

Thats not the only one. In 2004 GM made a two wheel drive with a high performance suspension with torsion bars...

Here is a picture of mine. It drives like a single cab truck and turns on a dime. I do put things in the bed so I need a truck but I usually never need the extra space unless I am hauling something bulky like a sofa. I think it is a practical application for someone who wants a short manuverable truck with seating for 4 and who will use the bed for items that aren't too large.

I probably wouldn't search another out one out if I ever decide to buy a new truck but I wouldn't turn one down either. It serves its purpose for me.

^ I like that, looks squaty. I think the longer a truck is the more it needs lifted to look right but that looks good the way it is. Now if they would just come out with a crew cab 6.5 bed on the half ton like ford i'd be a happy camper.

Wow, love your truck CBSAF! ^^^^ I love how short looking it is. I can imagine that thing with about a 3" body lift and 35" BFG A/T and running through the woods where the bigger trucks can't go. I love the wheel base of my standard cab, but want a backseat really bad. I'd take your truck in a heart beat.
