Extended cab w/ CC bed - Rare?

Here is a picture of mine. It drives like a single cab truck and turns on a dime. I do put things in the bed so I need a truck but I usually never need the extra space unless I am hauling something bulky like a sofa. I think it is a practical application for someone who wants a short manuverable truck with seating for 4 and who will use the bed for items that aren't too large.

 

I probably wouldn't search another out one out if I ever decide to buy a new truck but I wouldn't turn one down either. It serves its purpose for me.

I live in New Brunswick Canada,there is none of these here,that is the first one I have ever seen,I have to say I really like it though,I wonder if this is just a US thing or if this is actually available in Canada,now I will have to do some research.

When I bought my 2007 Sierra SLT, I initially wanted the short bed on the Extended Cab because looking over the option via the spec sheets, the short bed would fit more easily in my garage. I found a short bed Extended Cab in white, which is what I wanted, but when I went over to see it in person, I didn't like the looks as well as the longer bed, so I bought the longer bed, and only put the truck in the garage when hail is in the forecast because it just barely, barely fits.

Didn't know that configuration existed but since I think a pickup should have an 8' bed I wasn't paying attention either.

wow, i always thought extended cab was a compromise from crew cab and the shortbed is a compromise from the standard bed.

 

i'm not sure who that would appeal to

 

 

Well some of us who have extended cabs dont need passenger space. like myself. I am single and have no kids so there was no compromise on the cab at all. I say a GMT-800 in that config, didnt look bad

I've got the Crew Cab and of course, it's got that short bed. I just can't see getting that if you had a choice. If I could've, I'd have gotten the 6.5 bed in a heartbeat.

i have definatley seen one of them before but i did not think they actually made one, though it was just my eyes
