Picked up my new 2011 2500 HD Today

I traded in my 2008 silverado 1500 EC LTZ today for this new 2011 2500HD LT Duramax.This truck was a strange order that someone must have special ordered as it is highly optioned.I passed on a similar LTZ as I could not justify $3500 more for leather and the power moonroof and rear slider.I also hate the fake wood grain on the LTZ and wanted a differant dash.Heres a list of a few of the options

20" Polished Wheels,Interior convenience package,exteriorpackage,Front buckets with 6 way power passenger seat,Bose premium speaker system,safety package,rear view camera,locking diff,trailer brake controller,HD trailering equipment,XM, High idle,rear defogger,skid plates,tailgate eqiupment package,deluxe wide load mirrors.All in all $20,175 in options

Its my first diesel so I look forward to the Duramax and Allison combo.Heres a few nite pics in my garage I will get some daylite ones tomorrow.

My father-in-law just got his 2012 LT Duramax the other day after special ordering it with all kinds of options. He HATES the leather interiors, so that's why he went with an LT with 20" wheels, backup camera, convienience packages, etc. Basically it's an LTZ without the leather and fake wood. You're right, it's a strange combo but I guess that's why there are so many options to choose from. Some people have hangups with certain things, his happened to be the leather seats.

Thus far I have not had any issues with the leather seats in my 2008, however we'll see what happens in a few more years. In the mean time, I treat the leather twice a year with Armor All leather care.

My old truck was silver birch metallic whick kinda grew on me .I have always liked the blue though with GMs limited color choices.The 20's definatly add to the look.Thanks for all the positives.BTW I liked my heated leather seats but was not willing to pay that much more.I love the truck like interior on this LT as there is a lot more room forward of the console for crap than my previous LTZ.Still no 4x4 lite in the dash though.Blue tooth and the USB are nice extras my 08 did not have as well.Backup camera is very usefull,its like a mini HD view out back

Its funny for yrs and yrs it seemed like the gmc,s looked a little better, Especially 03-07

but these new 900,s the chevys look great, definitly with that hood option some of the silvys come with
