cold start

jus wondering anybody know of the cold start valve or cold start sensor or whatever its called? my truck takes about 3-4 seconds to start and someone told me if that part is out it will have really bad gas milage which is the case.any advice is appreciated

No such thing as a cold start valve or sensor. The engine is going to use the Intake Air Temperature Sensor to determine temp. (Or mass air flow sensor on newer vehicles )
