ABS brake question

Hey, everyone I have a 2004 Sierra 4WD Z71 package and I have a question about the brakes. Recently the brakes would occasionally pulse when slowing down, like the ABS pump is working. This happens on dry pavement with light to moderate braking pressure.

Also, my wife says she hears a high pitched squeal on braking (I dont). I have abouty 37000 miles on the truck, which I've had for about 6 months now.

Any ideas?

Pulsing brakes sound more like a rotor problem to me. If the abs was trying to kick in you would def be able to notice and your light would possibly kick on.

There are a number of posts on here about ABS activation on dry pavement, at speeds below 5 miles an hour. It can usually be fixed quite easily, by removing the front wheel speed sensors, cleaning the mating surface on the hub, and re-installing them. Takes an hour or so to do.

That's exactly it. I'll have to look into getting the repair done.

Thanks for your insight.
