I use it 2-3 times a year once after winter, before summer then before winter. I use either Mothers or Megs.

Once a yr for me (spring)

You do know the clay bar no matter what brand is identical. There is a patent out in it and all out there are the same

Clay bar is amazing. I do not know why more people do not use it. I had white overspray al over my black Impala SS. It took 2 clay bar kits, but it got it all off and was smmoooooottthhhh as could be. It just takes so long on a big vehicle if it has not been done in a while. I have talked to several detail guys who have never heard of it or used it.

Try it, you'll like it.

My truck is white and it had some bad rust specs on top of the clear coat so I bought a Mothers clay bar kit and it did wonders. They are quite a bit of work because once you are done claying you have to wax your vehicle but well worth the effort in my opinion!

I have used mothers. In my opinion it is the detailing spray that is used in conjunction with the clay that makes the difference. I like the mother's showtime spray, but have used the adams and really like it but I have to order that when I can buy the mothers at local parts houses.

I have used the mothers kit. I didn't notice any difference, and clay bar stayed clean. I think the reason why it didn't make any difference, was because I had used the mothers scratch remover on the truck previously. The scratch remover works good and smooths any orange peel etc...

Twice a year here at minimum with the clay bar, followed up by a polishing/sealing/waxing session to keep things in top shape. The only thing I don't like about claying is it does eat up some detail spray keeping it moist, but if that's the price I pay for top notch paint then I guess I'll pay it.

I tried this before and didn't really care for it on my Black truck. I just picked up the mothers kit and will give it another shot, the sides of my truck have all kind of crap on them. My plan is to wash with kerosene, Adams car wash, clay bar and rewax with Adams and the porter cable machine.

It has Adams on now but hasn't been done for almost a year, it has held up really well in my opinion still beading up!!!
