08 sierra denali battery install

Hey guys just purchased a battery and auto store would not install it saying its too hard.is it really that hard? Looks

 

 

 

 

Anything I should know?? Thanks guys

Just leave the plastic caps on the terminals when sliding it in there, and you can skip the bracket removal.

which place was it? I would make a phone call to their corporate headquarters and imform them of the laziness of the store's employees.

 

now, on to your question: It's not difficult at all, remove the brace between the firewall and fender, remove cables, hold down bolt and pull battery out, reverse to install.

 

FWIW Advance Auto over here had no issue will changing the battery on my GF's '03 Audi A6, which is a bit more complicated/ non-traditional to access. An American pickup truck is "too hard" = store employees that are too lazy.

The other day when I changed out the one in the Tahoe, I removed the fender brace (4 bolts) and the battery tray brace (2 bolts) to get easier access to the old battery. I'm old and there's not much room to get up under the old one. Remove the hold-down clamp bolt and the new battery will go in without any problem. The Duralast Gold had a handle on it which made it much easier than wrestling with that Delco.
