Is anyone running a 285 70 18?

I have been agonizing over what tires to get... I have had "my mind made up" 1000 times but I keep looking and looking. Is anyone running this crazy size in the BFG KM2? I have never heard of it, but I figured I would ask.

I believe a guy on here runs that size but added a small body lift with a level to do it. Try searching KM2's on the search function and see what you come up with.

EDIT: Either I am doing something wrong or the search function now blows. Can you no longer type numbers into the search?

Okay I am glad its not just me. I tried searching for the actual tire size, and the name "km2" before I posted this. Numbers are indeed throwing the search for a loop

and no, I wish they made a 285/65/18, that tire in that size would make my decision easy, they would already be on my truck, but they only make KM2s in funny sizes. lol

Honestly, I think you would be happier with a Trail Grappler than a KM2, unless you really want a white lettered sidewall. I loved mine on my old truck and at 25,000 miles they looked almost new.

I believe Cooper is making the new AT/3 in a 285/65/18 also. From what I have seen they look like a pretty good A/T tire, just not real aggressive like a M/T.

I've been looking hard at the Trail Grapplers in 285/65/18 on stock rims. But they run big for a 285/65 (11.93" wide, 32.83" tall) and I'm not sure how much rubbing I might get with only a 2" RC leveling kit. But I do really like the way they look

I went with a 2" RC level and a Zone 1.5" body lift to run them without worry. They definitely run big, no questions asked, but I have read of people running them on just a level. Problem is one person's view of "not rubbing" may be another's view of rubbing badly.

I think you have to type more than 3 characters
