You can do it. Many have. You'll more than likely need your tune tweeked after the install

the vette servo gets rid of lag in between shifts and firms em up a bit,For 20 bucks and how easy it is to install its a great upgrade.

To clarify, a "vette servo swap" only applies to the 4L60/65/70 (and older 700-R4) transmissions, and only affects the 2 / 4 band apply.

its supposed to clean up the shift from first and second. can anyone else confirm if i will need a retune if i install?

You want a definite answer?

It really depends on what it shifts like after the install. I didn't re-tune, 'cause Justin knew I was going to install it. He hit right on the mark. You PROBABLY will need shifting and line pressures adjusted somewhat. Install the thing and see how it drives

Will that eliminate the converter holding the lockup for about 60 seconds when I stop at a stop light ?

For that price it sounds good. What's the best place to pick one up?

Sooner or later I'll bite the bullet and have BBP do a wire tune... No way they'd come here for an in person lol

Its actually better to do the servo before a tune because usually the tuners add line pressure which stiffens shift points that plus the servo=a unhappy DD.

Does it hurt if I don't retune?

No. But your shifting, etc might be better after getting tuned for the CS.

I would recommend you send us an email so that Justin can check your logs. He can see the pressures and let you know whether or not you need an update. Honestly, every vehicle is different, some will shift violently with the servo, some won't- we can get you taken care of either way.
