I managed 18.4 mpg at 80mph driving on hilly interstate the other day.

This is with 10 ply tires that I would guess weigh 2x more than the 4 ply Goodyears I had before. So, if you're getting new tires you may as well get 10 ply, as your mileage really won't change. 18.4 is the second best mileage I've had in this truck. The best I've had is 18.5 at 70 mph.

I need to do something to this thing so it will get worse mileage and drink fuel like a truck.

washed it up nothing is more irritating than washing a red truck in the sun >:( i want the garage back!!

cleaned up the power steering pump and found my leak.. its where the steering shaft goes in, looks like a bad seal started leaking right after i got it cleaned up.. and my terribly noise may or may not be the brake dust plate scraping rotor

I am hoping my console lid comes in today. Also my p0300 misfire may be figures out thanks to Justin. Apparently the misfire parameters were still set for having a 4.8. Hoping that solves it and I can finally pass emissions

Try washing a black truck in the sun. I have no garage either. Just a giant tree that drops tiny little sap drops from July to September. I could have built a garage if I'd quit getting an itch for a new truck every five years. :banghead:

    • I understand that. The price is what it is, though. The price is what oil costs today, where our choices have led us, where supply is, and where demand is, in the market that is. Speculation is for futures, what we think the price will be, but with incomplete information at the time the price is forecast. I know you know this, but you appear to be intent on making a secondary point here about what you think the market could or should be, if only other choices.   In 1975 it became illegal to export US Crude. I'm conflicted on what the best answer is. Free markets allow export in pursuit of profit. But there is also a lot to gain by producing and consuming our own oil here. How do you reconcile it?
    • That sir is a choice. And even if it were not for all the reasons stated, this disruption has zero to do with the reality of the actual logistics and everything to do with the greed of SPECULATION. Spot price is irrelevant to reality.
    • What I think you're saying is there is supply here at home, and in Venezuela, and we could ease pricing if only it were favorable to do so.   Well, yes?   But that's not the current market. Supply isn't what could someday exist, if only, it's what producers are willing to produce and sell at a certain price point.   The national price of single family homes would come way down if we'd just slap together a few million homes this summer.   RAM and GPUs would get a lot cheaper if we just set up some factories to produce a bunch more and stopped using it to build out AI data centers.
    • The turn signal/multifunction switch is faulty.  I've seen a few of these go bad at work.
    • I am experiecing the same issue, I have gone in the setting and disabled rain sensing function but I am still experiencing this. Whe i use my turn signal they will redomly turn on.
