Gurrzt Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Does anyone happen to know the TSB for the front yoke (2wd) leaking transmission fluid? Thanks in advance.
gmtech4 Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 the dealer has it when you take it in ???? remember it may or may NOT apply to your truck
2016 Sierra Owner Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Sometimes it's nice knowing the number before you goto the dealer. It saves them time having to look it up. I know I have done it 2 times now and have been thanked by the service advisor for bringing him the info.

MikeNH Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Subscribe to alldata. It's cheap and you get access to TSBs, manuals, etc.
Gurrzt Posted May 23, 2012 Author Posted May 23, 2012 Thank you all for the input, I received my vechicle yesterday late afternoon from the dealer, and even though I still do not know the TSB number, the dealer replaced the slip yoke with the following parts: 15926348-Slip Yoke 89059111-U Joint kit The entire repair was covered under the 5 yr./100k warrenty. The dealer claims this is an updated part, with a stonger U joint, he also stated that it would stop any "clunking" when the vehicle shifts, or on acceleration (I have never had this happen anyway). Hope this solves the problem, nothing like fresh transmission oil on a new paver driveway (lol)
