How do you remove center of the dash

How do you remove the center panel of the dash i have my cb mounted to?

i would try to get under it with a light and see how it is mounted, if you don't see anything pull the panel with the radio in it off and look through the top of it. the panel around the radio/ac just pulls off. i don't think many of us have pulled that bottom panel off. why do you need to take it off?

Adding a heavyer cb, want to see what i can do to make it stronger, or if i need to look for a new mount

i believe it is held in place with some screws. some of those screw are hidden behind the panel above, the one that surrounds the radio. to remove that piece best way i've found is to start at the top right corner and pull, its going to seem like its going to break, but mine hasn't and I've had it out several times.

take off the panel below the steering wheel first , then there are two 7 mm screws there for the panel you want to remove, just pull on the panel to release the remainder of the snap in clips (carefully )
