WTF are we doing about this?

have you had any service done where they would have had to take apart the back door? It is weird for it just to pop out randomly.

Not trying to blame you or anything, but did you ever pop that piece out? I've seen people put pieces back in wrong or they didn't push hard enough.

 

The ext. doors rattling, is it the actual door at the hinges or squeaks from the panels? If it is from the plastic you can put closed cell foam behind the panel to eliminate squeak and rattles.

Ended up replacing the complete assembly on both doors at $80.00 a pop.

My 08 extended cab did this, both back doors. I epoxy'd the hell out of them. Lol. In a year I will be trading again, and I hope GM really up'd their game so I can still remain faithful.

Rather have that switch fall out then my hub bearing to give out...again! Especially since the bearings gave out long before 100k miles.

 

I must admit that is the first time I've heard of that problem. Is it easy to replace?

 

 

Probably easier than changing a wiper blade

 

That was the one thing I missed about my old Sonoma was the wiper arms that folded out. It made it real easy to replace wipers and since I lived in Alaska when I bought this truck kept the blade from freezing to the windshield in winters.

 

 

GM sells fold-out wiper arms for the NBS 1999-2007 classic trucks.... Pricey though.
