I think you can get more bang for your buck but those are pretty sweet.

Found the show to be, uh, interesting. If a stock 6.2 will run between 14.5 and 14.6 through the quarter mile, and they ran I believe a 14.5, does this mean that the extra 137HP is just to turn the rotors in the supercharger? I ran a 14.7 in my '07 VortecMax with a CAI, flowmaster super 40, TBS, and a tune, and I can tell you that it wasn't within 2 tenths of this

I'll have to get it to the track to find out...

Plus remember them hooking up. I get better throttle response from feathering the throttle versus flooring it.

Those trucks should run in the low 13's maybe a high 12 if tuned and everything is "done right" and on those 22's. My truck ran a 13.55 with the stuff in my sig on 18" rims. Now that i have 22's its a two tenths slower. Something aint right with that s/c truck.

I can understand the difficulty in hooking up. I can't go full throttle until about 35mph on concrete, about 45mph(after 2nd gear) on asphalt. I have a lot more success in 4WD Auto with traction control turned off. Callaway numbers are 0-60 in 5 seconds and the 1/4 mile in 13.4 seconds. I agree with 11Silvy that 12's are pretty realistic with the right tune, but keep in mind the factory warranty is still in effect. The exhaust mods include only a free flow muffler, and the intake still utilizes the factory air box with a K & N filter. The supercharger has a 3.3" pulley, which is pretty mild as far as the boost is concerned. Don't get me wrong, the truck hauls a$$, it is just a little conservative as it still carries a 100,000 mile warranty. There is more, much more, power to be had, but for the time being my piece of mind is more important to me. Mid 13's in a 6000 pound truck is pretty good, certainly good enough for me. As for the price, well, yes it is a ton of money. The supercharger would be about six grand, maybe around seven installed. Wheels and tires were four grand, probably three if not Callaway wheels. Intake, exhaust, badging, custom embroidering etc. maybe a grand. So if I do it all aftermarket myself I've got about ten to twelve grand in the mods, installed by someone in their shop and not warranteed except by the manufacturer. In this case the mods are done by a company that has been putting out performance Corvettes for Chevrolet for over 25 years. They are still a regular production option (RPO) from Chevy on Corvettes, and the mods are done at the Callaway plants in Conneticut and California by guys that put out competition race cars. It's a hot rod, a family hauler, a daily driver and in the end, a pickup truck. It still hauls more than just a$$. Besides, at zero percent financing, my payment is slightly less (74 cents) than my '07 VortecMax.

Thanks 11silvy, did that LS7 tb do you right? I saw a post today from txmuder with some sweet bowties, Texas style...think it was under 6.2 owners header- also your style

Yeah, the LS7 adds some nice throttle response and drivability over the stock 87mm. Im gonna add a 2012 split grille soon, love the way it looks over the stock one.

11Silvy,does that LS7 throttle body bolt right up and plug right in? Did you have to change anything to get it to work? How much does one cost?

This is the one that does bolt up. I found them on Ebay. You don't need a tune for it and it takes about a tankfull of gas for you to feel the benefits of it.

and it has come down $5.00 since I bought one...
