Induction Flush???? ANyone ever heard of

2009 Sierra,5.3 AFM flex fuel engine, having a strange engine idle issue, how it happens:

driving along truck runs,drives,acts fine, pull up to a stop light or slow down to make a very slow turn, truck doesnt idle down when you let off gas, matter of fact if you put truck in neutral, the tachometer will go up to 2000-2500 rpms and then meander back down to normal idle. This is kind of strange because if you are trying to stop, the truck is still wanting to go go go.... Took to dealershit, truck is at the last leg of warranty but it still IS in warranty and they say they cant find nothing wrong with it, but they think an induction flush would fix it, >????WHAT?? You cant find nothing wrong with it but this will fix it, oh and they want $200 to do this so called flush....COrrect me if I am wrong but doesn't warranty, bumper to bumper mean that, it states that normal wear and tear items, wipers, brake pads,clutches arent covered but induction flush??? Supposedly its basically a throttle body cleanup, I told them that has already been done but they aint wanting to hear it...any gm techs that can help a brother out here?

They are at my local dealershit for sure, I took my other truck in 10 times before they fixed the bad coil pack, kept telling me if anything was wrong with that truck the CEL would come on! On the 10th trip when they yet again told me it aint acting up, as I was leaving it started running very bad almost dying just like I told them, ran back in and said come looky here, its all jacked up running wise and looky there, NO CEL!!! Anyway weve already looked at the thottle body with a flexible scope cam, the kind like they look at your insides with at the doctor, there is no build up on my TB, no build up inside the plenum either......

Since GM Techs typically work for "dealershits" so if you're looking to get some help from one, you may want to be a little more curtious in your wording. Dealerships can be frustrating but to be fair so can their customers. Just an opinion, take it for what its worth.

The original "dealershits" was a typo, instead of assuming I meant that someone could have pointed it out but alas.....The dealership I have in my town is pretty much worthless, the reason I came here in the first place, My truck has been there for 3 days now, I let them do what they wanted say what they wanted and today when I was called and told we cant find anything wrong with it, I had to go up there and show the tech exactly what I wrote on the trouble ticket. Then he was like well that aint so bad, nothing we can do for that, they all do that etc etc etc. I work with 5 dudes and we all drive GMC's. Over the last few days I have driven them all, nobodys does what mine does. But Im supposed to accept this as normal and they all do it. I let the tech drive and showed him exactly how to make the truck have the issue, when HE was driving and it scared him almost driving through a stop sign then he was of course, saying, WHOA! thats a little excessive there....long story short, new throttle body, recalibration of trans ecu and the trucks bcu, I watched him wipe the complete learned history with his Tech2 of all transmission and bcu history. Truck still doesn't drive right...and you know, I hear all the time about idiot computer dude, stupid network technician, dummy tech support guy all the time in my line of work, referring to the EX networking firm that USED to do their work before I got the job. I ain't offended, I know they think the LAST guy was an idiot but they have not called me personally one, so why would anyone here get their feelings hurt because I called my local dealership a word, typo or not. Yes the second one was purposeful, and if you had to deal with them your words would probably be worse than mine. No feelings were meant to be harmed in my posts, but ain't we all big boys here? I take a little ribbing, everyone else should be capable of the same, or HEY prove me wrong, show me that you are the highly trained tech who has seen it all and has an answer, that is what I do in my job when someone says...NOBODY can fix this problem with this routing protocol running over this VLAN....Thanks and have a great day

I'm not a tech but from the threads I've read here it seems it take some miles driving (up to couple hundred) for the truck to relearn the proper idle. However the dealership is suppose to be able to reset that too. Since it sounds like they already did, I'd get your truck to another dealer for a second opinion & diagnosis.

sounds like a bad Throttle Body Sensor.

they replaced the complete TB assembly Gurrzt, along with taking out my K&N filter and putting in a new gm filter, and clearing the learned history of the transmission and engine computers.
