I just ordered my new truck and had a few of the same problems.

I wanted a Leather Bench - which meant I was stuck in SLE trim level.

Max Tow Package - 17" wheels only.

Sunroof not available.

Auto Darkening mirrors - the only way I could get them was to add Rear camera.

Couldn't get mirrors with turn signals.

Can't get heated seats with bench.

Can't get any of the Chrome packages with Max Tow Package. (Exhaust tip, Handles, Hooks, Nothing)

My Truck is scheduled to be built the first week of September.

The truck showed up this morning, and as I was crawling around it I noticed something I liked, it has the 14 bolt rear end and disc brakes, which it is suppose to have neither according to GM's website when you build a 2013 truck without the max trailer pack. So basically it has the max trailer pack minus the 3.73's? None of the other trucks on the lot have the 14 bolt rear end or disc brakes.

Also, that 6.2 sounds like one mean bitch even with all the factory exhaust on it.

Anyone else have a non NHT? With the big rearend and disc brakes? Is it normal?

All 6.2s aside from the Denali got the 14 bolt w/discs.

Pics of the new wheels?

Tomorrow after they get it all cleaned up and the rail dust off of it and in the showroom. It was nasty. I had them install an Advent radio also.

Awesome with the rear end info and disc brakes, I didn't care so much about the rearend but I was somewhat irritated with this purchase thinking it came with drum rear brakes. I'm happy. That cheyenne where the silverado is wicked cool I do have to say. And they have a z71 emblem on the right bottom on the tailgate where it's suppose to say LT. I told them I wanted the Z71 stickers on the bed, it looked odd without them.

Can't you order the SLE Interior package and the SLE exterior package? The exterior includes the mirrors with auto dark, pwr folding, signals and heated. Aren't all the chrome packages all dealer installed parts? Seems silly to not allow you to order the package. I just ran the build and price tool on a 2012 SLE and it allows all the chrome packages with max tow. I am in Canada as well,, so that may make a difference.

nevermind... just noticed you wanted a Chevrolet, not a GMC.

SO when can we expect to be able to build and price the 2013's on Chevrolet's and GMC's website? Since the 2013's are on the lots now.

Probably when the 2012's are almost gone. I know the dealer here still has like 12 of them, and at least 12 more 2013's parked out back.

It was metric, but they changed it out. They had "notes"? that it was to be done in Salio but never did. They had it all tore apart for that advent radio, not sure why I though those things were a simple install? Maybe that had the dash all tore apart for the cluster I don't know.

All I had out was the center trim and the upper glove box for my Advent. And the only reason the glove box was out was to mount the media hub in a specific way so I could retain the factory USB port for day to day use and only use the JLink cable if I want to watch video (which I haven't once beyond testing it). Can't imagine the cluster would require that either but who knows.

Neat, like the z71 on tailgate

    • Did you ever get this worked out? Mike is doing the two start thing now too. This is after a new camera back in December.
    • I’m doing an experiment on a vehicle I don’t have much money in. I’m going by the premise that after they last 100K miles they were no mechanical problems with assembly. Or defects with the parts. With oil changes by the minder for the first 127K miles when I acquired it. I quickly went through low mileage oil changes then settled on 5k oil changes with close to 170K miles on the vehicle currently. I did have the option to turn off the cylinder deactivation. I didn’t on this vehicle because it’s in ECONOMY mode at least half the time. It should be a no brainer frequent oil changes are the key. The manufacturer gets away with the long oil changes with its severe service  maintenance. Just ask them what is normal.
    • Even set to "recirculated", the air pushes out and is hot. I have noticed that sometime it doesn't want to switch between recirculated/vented air. Say it is set to Circulated Air and I want to switch to Vented, when I click the Vented button, it just quickly lights up/clicks and immediatly switches back to Circulated. It's done this a few times now. So maybe it is an actuator getting stuck? But then, that doesn't explain the hot air when everything is off does it?
    • I wonder what the price is out at the coast, Big Sur or other out of the way locations as I bet they are charging quite a premium over the in land pumps.
    • Were you looking at the HD trucks on the GM website or the half tons as that makes all the difference. As far as I know there are only two options for the HD trucks and that is the standard 2 speed transfer case or the 2 speed transfer case that has the added 4 high auto feature and they put that transfer case by default into the LTZ and High Country although its optional in the LT and not sure if its available in the work trucks.    The half tons, that is where its been a total mess in my estimation for a few years now with most trucks below the top trim having the single speed transfer case as standard but with the option of having the two speed such as one would get by choosing the Z71 package, however then not being able to get the two speed transfer case with the towing package unless it was a higher trim truck AND had the 6.2 gas so one could combine the towing package gearing diffs with the two speed transfer case. Having said that if its a trail boss package then it gets the two speed transfer case but not necessarily able to get the tow package as it would depend on trim level and engine chosen. Believe me, people have bought the GM half tons assuming "of course it will have a two speed transfer case" only to find out after when they really pay attention to what they now own .... crap, there is NO low range !.    I don't believe Ford or Ram have gone that way yet with their half tons but like I say its been a few years now that GM has done this with the half tons.
