2013 - Some truck ordering restrictions

1. Order the truck without 22's, and put them on when it gets here, but instead of a $2700 upgrade, it would be 4k and no warranty on the rims or the front end if they determine the rims caused it. - I said no way

This makes absolutely no sense. As long as it is dealer installed it is covered by the warranty. It is no different than the side steps or protections package I had put on (mudflaps, tailgate caps, and rear wheel well guards)

No, because the GM says that the 6.2 can't come with them, or the Z71. In sure the dealer could pass waranty work through Thr system, but if they ever got cought I guess it's s big deal.

I was under the impression that if you ordered anything from GMAccessories and had them installed before you took delivery, they picked up the full manufacturers warranty. I know it works that way on the running boards, get them with the truck new, full warranty, get them the next day, 12 month warranty.

This is what I was told - If the accessories arn't available to be ordered with the pickup, they are not designed to be on that pickup.

Then GM Accessories should go out of business. Plain and simple. I am sorry but they are still full of it.

That is likely the wheel warranty. I think the concern is that if the wheels were installed and there were ever front end issues the dealer would try to use the larger wheels as a scapegoat, even though they're a GM part.

Not sure why but the backup camera isn't hooked up. Anyone know why?

Not hooked up as in it doesn't appear on the mirror or it doesn't appear on the OGM1? If it isn't on the mirror then the first thing I'd check would be the connection under the tailgate panel. If it isn't appearing on the OGM1 screen, it's a matter of tapping into a signal wire but based on what Walt had said about the crap resolution of the camera GM uses, it looks like crap on a big screen. I haven't done mine and don't miss it. I think the mirror is more useful anyhow.

Ok, it works on the mirror but just not hooked up to the radio.
