MBRP Exhaust

First I would like to apologize if this isn't the right way to post something.

I have a 2010 Silverado. 5.3L V8.

I racked my brain for weeks trying to decide on which exhaust. I originally wanted Corsa, but I wouldn't see myself spending $1000+ on it so after talking to the Chevrolet dealer I chose MBRP. It was $660 after tax and installation.

http://mbrpautomotiv...ts&part=S5058AL that is the one they put on for me.

Now, just from what I've observed today on my little trip (keep in mind I'm a bit clueless about specifics on trucks) but it's loud when you start and when you take out. I find though it's louder at the lower RPMs instead of higher so like 2000-3000 it has a nice rumble to it. At 60 on cruise control you can't even tell it's on there. When the AFM? I believe it kicks down to V4 there is drone inside the cab, but stops as soon as it goes back up to V8. It's nothing that isn't tolerable with the radio on. Also, I don't floor it or anything I take out slow at lights and I went from 17.8 (stock) last week to 19.7 (MBRP) this morning. As far as power I can't tell a difference honestly. As you can see in the video though around town driving makes MPG drop a little

As far as the video unless you use a decent set of headphones or speakers it's less than part on how it really sounds in person.

I have an MBRP single/side exit on my 2010, but in the Stainless Steel. Not sure what's with your duals but mine is definately noticable on the highway cruising. Sounds like you have drone and exhaust sound mixed up a little.

The rpm's you list is where there is slight drone in the cab with the MBRP. Can definately tell it's there at highway speed but it's quiet (no drone) in the cab. You are right about one thing, video does the MBRP no justice.

What's your secret to +2mpg???

You may be right. I just know when I'm going 60 down the highway there is a sound that if I have my radio off it's like a (i apologize for the typical discription) but it's like a wub wub wub type of sound. My camera never picks it up, but it's ONLY when it kicks down to V4. I watched the it every time it went to V4 the sound started and when it went back to V8 it stopped.

As far as my secret it depends on my mood on half of it honestly. If I'm nice and calm I take out slow and I mean very slow like an older person. I use cruise control every chance I get. Now on the other hand. If I get mad and I take out fast and I'm passing people it drops to about 16.8 which it went down to today on this trip.
