Blue Tooth won't work right

My 09 Siverado has the Blue Tooth option and usually I will call someone hands free and it works great.

 

But....

 

I found how it won't work.

 

I was taking our cat to the vet to get checked out and of course I had the cat in a big plastic cat carrier behind the drivers seat. (I have an Ext. Cab.)

 

As we were driving, the cat is meowing, over and over because she feels trapped.

 

As I tried calling my wife for something, the blue tooth kept going to the help menu and wouldn't place my call. I had to pull over and stop and grab my cell phone and dial the number and then the blue tooth in the truck took the call and it worked.

 

What I found out is the loud cat meowing, would screw up the voice activation and it didn't know what to do.

 

That is why the radio mutes so it can correctly hear your input.

 

The salesman never told me that you can't have a screaming cat in the truck and use the blue tooth at the same time.

 

So remember that next time you have your meowing cat, or barking dog with you.
