Rust Spot on a 2011

So I was washing my truck today and I spotted a little blue spot and upon closer inspection it was rust. There is a little spot and the paint around it is a little blued. Im going to the dealership monday. I have had the paint protected with a yearly "wax" treatment at Ziebart twice. Any idea what the dealership will do? Im pretty sure I have a 5 year rust / 10 year rust hole warranty right?

The spot is on the right side on the bed right above the wheel well.

Have you tried clay bar? Could be "rail dust"

I don't think they'll do anything for a rust spot, it has to rust through for warranty. Though I've heard of cases where dealers repaired it anyhow just to be decent.

If it's still under the factory warranty (unless you drive lots, a 2011 should be) they'll fix it and repaint it as a warranty repair.

 

Unless it was from some type of damage like a door ding or rock chip. Then I think you'll be on your own.

I think Ryan is right about the rail dust, I had it on a brand new SUV in 07, I picked the most of it off with my finger nail and gave it a good washing till it was almost gone. It never got any worse by the time I traded it in.
