any issues with the 2007 chevy?? my buddy was going to buy one but read about some issues with leaks from the engine or tranny. just wondering if he should still get it.

actually, im not sure. he said it was a 5.3 with a 4 speed. thats about it.

I have a 2007 Classic (GMT-800) 4.8/4 Spd. It had a few leaks that were fixed under warranty. Front Pump Seal on the Tranny, Rear Right Axle, and Oil Pan. No troubles after that. It has 75K on it.

I have a 2007 V-MAX (GMT-900) Only work done on mine was the transmission shift module for the 4-wheel drive had to be replaced but it was under warranty other than that AWESOME truck... 101,000 as of present date. :0)

I'd be sure to get a maintenance history report, (carfax and/or dealership type) and a serious and thorough test drive. I'd be more worried about the first 5 years of it's life under previous owner(s) vs original manufacterer defects.

Just rolled over 100k miles on my truck and only routine maintenance minus front hub bearings.
