Recommended Posts

Thinking about spraying the black portion of my mirrors with white plastidip. Anyone ever done this? What about the chrome grill, black bars, and chrome bumper?

Thanks!

I plasti dipped my front, rear bumpers, gmc logo, and chrome bars in the grill. Used 3 cans, 1 can of onyx black, then another can of clear coat over it all. Turned out pretty good. Taping everything off took the longest, and u HAVE to be careful when peeling the tape off or the plasti dip will tear.. Make sure u have a razor blade on hand.post-45327-135062264372_thumb.jpg

Also forgot to mention the backup sensors, I taped off the center eye, plasti dipped the surround. Then used VHT nightshades on the actual sensor to black it out since its semi transparent, and keeps it functional.

That looks great, suprised it turned out that clean looking.

The plasti-dip is great especially if you just want a temporary look. I did my wheels, it held up great for the few months I had it on. The reason I removed it was that mud stained it a bit and I did not feel like recoating them again.

They have a gloss black kit now. Thinking of doing my camaro rims.

It turned out surprisingly well. I wanted the glossifier plasti dip, but couldn't find it... Just the black. The main reason I went plasti dip is you can peel it off. Holding up well so far, no chips or peeling even using the pressure wand an inch away(clean bugs off)
