GMT 900 Gear Swap

I have a 2011 Silverado with the 6spd tranny. I also have 3.42 gears. I want to put on a set of 265/70/18s which is a 32.6 inch tire. I do a lot of city driving and i tow a good bit. Would it be worth changing to 3.73 gears or perhaps 4.10s??? I have read people have a huge low end power loss when going up a tire size with the 3.42 gears. Would a gear swap be worth it?? I plan on doing headers and tires around the same time so i would have one huge retune going on.

With only a 32.6 tire....and probably a light, P-rated one...you should be just fine. If you were doing a 6" lift and 35's, it would be different. You might notice a slight (very slight) hit in power and MPG, but not enough to justify the cost of a gear swap, IMO.

Do you have a shop you trust to do the install? I as beacause I've been wanting to do this for awhile, just can't seem to find a reliable place to get it done right. I'm in SC also, thanks.
