Debadge or Plasti-dip?

Recommended Posts

So I want to continue the silver and black look my truck has going.

I have already ordered powder coated bowties for the grill and tailgate.

Next question is with the silverado LT badges on the doors and tailgate. Should i spray them with plasti-dip to make them black to match the bowties, or should i just remove them all together? (they are chrome right now)

thanks in advance for the opinions.

Check out defenderworx. They make black CAMARO letters to replace the chrome.

just checked them out... nothing for silverado unfortunately

They told you that or you didn't see them? I'm looking for the same.

got my badge on the truck plastidiped... look better than crome IMO

Yeah I think black badges will look better on silver.

I'll probably just order new chrome ones and have them painted. I just want the silverado for the doors. Tailgate has been debadged.

If you find someone in the meantime, holler!! :)

I had good luck with plasti-dip on my bowties...and I plan to do the same with my 'silverado' and 'LT' badges...if I ever have enough free time. I think that would look good on your silver truck, especially with your black fender flares.

Debadge x1000000. And please colormatch the flares, and remove the bug deflector and window sill-thingys

haha why are you so against the flares and bug deflector.... I like the way my flares contrast the silver and I like the bugflector because my last vehicle was destroyed right on the front of the hood by rocks, bugs, and whatnots.

You're truck would look much cleaner with the added plastics removed and flares painted to match.

I'm not really going for a clean, show truck look. I want the aggressive off-road look because that is what I plan on doin most of the time with it.

Try plastic dip and if it doesn't work, then you can debadge. But I think the plastic dip would look pretty good.
