Bush is going to my area tomorrow. Going to tour the Deere Harvester Works, start up a combine, and give a speech. Quite a big deal for our area.

Jp, are you gonna go see the prez? I would, if a president were in my area. Closest I've been to a president was at Denver airport when we were dleayed for take off because Air Force one was landing. I may ask Newbie for an introduction to the president someday -

Nope, had to come back to the school. Since the tour and speech is going to be in the actual Deere factory, it sounds as though only employees and media are allowed in.

I got screwed! This is the only year in recent memory, or the upcoming four, where we are starting before the Tuesday after MLK day. I don't get to make my yearly trip to Denver, usually I go this upcoming Wed. and get back on Sunday, not this year though.

As for the 3.0, I should have a good shot at one this semester, I have classes that make sense and have a little interest value to them. Holding a 2.9 now, not bad for engineering school here, but there is room for improvement.

Actually no, not skiing. It's been four years since I've been in the mountains. During this time of year is a huge stock show, the National Western, that we go to, a cattleman's paradise. Good lookin' cattle and good lookin' women.

Speaking of going back to school, explain this one to me. We start back this Thurs, and then have the next Mon off for MLK day. So we come back for 2 days and then have a 3 day weekend. Why not just have us come back on that Tues after MLK day? ???
