Issue: Car won't start in very specific circumstances.

This thread is a little similar but not the same issue i think. http://www.traverseforum.com/index.php?topic=1980.0

Within the last few months when it's gotten cold (upstate NY) we've had two instances of our 09 traverse not starting. Both cases the traverse was parked outside for a few days (while i did other stuff in the garage). The driveway is inclined away from the house if it matters (and might). I started the car long enough to pull it into the garage (less than 10 seconds probably). The next morning the car wouldn't start. Cranked over for a long time and nothing. Eventually, after cranking several times for more that 5-8 seconds it started an ran fine. All other times it fires right up.

Any thoughts? Fuel pressure regulator? Fuel check valve? It's starge and I know about turning on the key and letting the pump prime and listening for that. Did that and it didn't help. Since i can't replciate it there's nothing the dealer can do as there's no codes stored either.

So this happened again this morning. This time it was VERY difficult to start. Backed it out yesterday for about 2 hours. When i was done in the garage i pulled it right back in. I do this often in the warm weather as well and have had no issues. Wife tells me theres about a half tank of gas this morning. It took a very long time to get it to catch this morning. Garage is not heated but not extra cold either (attached). When it did catch the idle was VERY high (about 3000 rpm) for about 10 seconds before settling down and it was fine.

Maybe it's a christmas thing since i posted this exactly 1 year ago, and haven't had this problem again since. Battery is strong (as it was able to crank the engine for a long time). I told the wife to fill it up and dump in a can of seafoam just to make sure there wasn't any ice crystals in the gas lines but i don't have any other ideas.

Any thoughts? It's not really a problem, but would like to solve it from happening again.
