Same thing happened to my chocolate lab, he was with us since I was a kid, got the lung cancer and didn't want him to suffer, first time I seen my dad cry.....

Was working out on site and had to go back to the shop for some tools and found something that is super rare among the GM fleet around here.

 

 

Not often a motor comes out. Usually the body and electrical get beat to death first. Guys cut the seats and dashes and stuff.

 

Trucks last about 3 years here in operations, the maintenance 1 tons are a little longer. We educated tradesmen usually take a little better care of them.

I've had bad experiences with CFL bulbs. Most of the ones we've had didn't last any longer than incandescent bulbs. Not to mention sometimes they take a while to turn on, and you have to take them to a hazardous waste facility (or you're supposed to).

 

I have the same luck with them as well. As far as the warm up goes, try one outside when it's 10 degrees out. Starts up very dim. They seem to go out most in our bathroom. I don't know if it's a humidity issue or what's going on there.?.

My parents bought them spiral bulbs and they all hesitate before they turn on I hate it

Dang, I guess my spiral bulbs are special.

 

I know they can be crappy in cold temps but I have no exterior lighting that I can control- I live in an apartment complex so all exterior lights are controlled somewhere else.
