I swapped out my single in dual out 18 inch Magnaflow for a 22 inch....sound is much more mellow and no drone. Highly recommend!

Mine was 12388, and I can't believe how good this sounds now.

22" here as well, now that it's broken in it's about the same volume in town, and same sound, just no drone on the highway. Glad I got the longer one, shouldn't be too loud when I get headers.

For whats its worth, that p/n comes back as a 24". Did you get 22" or 24"? My wife complains about the highway drone of my 18" that comes out in front of the rear tires. If not too much trouble, I may swap out the 18".

Is this pretty much a direct replacement? I want a better flowing muffler just a little louder than stock.

That muffler is 22inches the stock one is 25 so a small piece of pipe has to be welded in the open space. But yes you cut the old one out and weld the new one in

I went with a 24" 12279, which is pretty dang close. I love the sound while cruising. The next truck I get will get the same muffler. Had a 14" with dual tails on an 06 2500 I had, and it droned like a bee hive inside the cab. This one is much nicer.
