Occasional stalling at idle...

I've had it on the truck for a few years. I installed it because I wanted to be able to monitor the trans temp. My truck doesn't have the gauge from the factory.

My cluster finally started having the stepper motor issue with the oil gauge, but of course I'm outside the mileage range GM specified when they sent out the courtesy repair notice.

When I replace the cluster, I'm going to upgrade to one with a trans temp gauge.

In the meantime, I'm going to unplug the Scan Gauge and see if my problems clear up.

OK, on Saturday I needed to do some basic maintenance on my truck like changing he oil and replacing the belts, so I went ahead and cleaned the throttle body, removed the plug to the controller and cleaned it, and did the same for the MAF sensor. I unplugged my ScanGaugeII, also.

So far, so good.

I also followed up with ScanGauge and found they have a newer version out with upgraded firmware. Mine is version 3.15, while the newest is version 4.02. They tell me the upgrade fixes some bugs and also adds some new features. For $25 I can send in my old one and exchange it for the newer model, which I think I'm going to do.

It sounds like your issue is something else, but my truck had a stalling issue on deceleration/stopping and it turned out to be that the diaphragm in the fuel pressure regulator had a small tear in it.

Diagnosis was pulling the vacuum tube off and cycling the key to see if it spits fuel out where the vacuum hose was.

My truck is a 99 Sierra that still had the cable operated TB, not drive by wire...or hybrid. My 2 cents, good luck.

Temperatures when driving? Check vac lines? Unrelated because when it was cold it ran like hell, but my intake went out and the truck was almost stalling.. dip to 3-400 rpm some times until I had it replaced.
