Of the 3 that were purchased one down. I can understand why he was on the closed unfinished new parkway, but officers on this forum I have a question. If you are aware this is a new road still under construction and no section of it is open yet, would you have been doing 62 mph on it to "investigate" the disturbance in a brand new patrol car AWD or not?

well, there goes 37 Grand of Bako's Taxpayer dollars (and at length, my extended family's taxpayer dollars) down the Crapper... I wonder what that Officer was thinking when he was going down that unfinished parkway, and didn't notice the FOURTEEN FOOT GAP IN THE ROAD.

Going full bore on a non-emergency response seems a tad foolish to me. A disturbance call isn't worth that kind of risk to life and property. Save it for the bank robberies and home invasions.

The sad thing is he probably won't even lose his job

Second article, different story. Second paragraph was a new ecoboost that missed on the pit maneuver and slammed into a telephone pole. Two new cars in four days. Guess I know what to expect for next year's property tax rates...

Seems that too many officers are not using common sense when driving a Twin Turbo AWD car

I understand the desire to end the chase, and maybe the ole crown vic couldn't catch the fox body GT, but why use the brand new taurus to try to pit him when in the end it was two crown vics driving him sideways up a curb that ended it. Check the second link, cute little pup in the driver's seat of the mustang after the chase, too scared to get out.

What I like is when they see a bike speed a little or do a wheelie (which is very very dangerous of course), so they chase him through a residential neighborhood at 100mph (safe).

And they do nothing about the bike in LA gridlock that is weaving between cars at 70 MPH illegally crossing into the car pool lane in a construction zone

Saw that quite a bit yesterday
